The Baytones are a not-for-profit Women’s Acapella Harmony Chorus singing in the Barbershop style of music. We have a long history in North Bay and have recently celebrated 60 years of membership with Harmony Inc., the organization to which we belong. The Baytones chartered with Harmony Inc. just 5 years after Harmony Incorporated’s first membership meeting of 1959! Harmony Inc. now has over 2,000 members in 65 chapters across Canada and the continental United States. We are GROWING strong. The Baytones are a community minded chorus as well as a competitive chorus. The Baytones have had the privilege of competing at an area level competition and are striving for an opportunity to participate at the international level. - Our purpose is to empower women through singing, education, and friendship. - Our passion is a commitment to share the joy of singing throughout our communities. - Our strength is in our members, all contributing to our harmonious blend. We don’t just sing to make us happy but to make others happy as well. Behind all the competition and rigorous practice, singing barbershop is just FUN. And…we are available for sing-outs of any kind! We practice every Wednesday at St. Andrew’s United Church, 399 Cassells St. (McIntyre entrance), North Bay, ON from 6:30 pm – 8:30 p.m. We welcome you to join us for a rehearsal anytime and see for yourself what we are all about.
