About BURGER WORLD ON HAMMOND
Originally from New Liskeard, our parents Remi and Marie Jeanne Rivet moved south to chase a dream - opening a family restaurant. That dream became reality in 1993 with Burger World on Algonquin Avenue. What started as a simple burger joint quickly grew into a full-service restaurant with over 120 menu items. In 2000, we opened a second location at Fisher Street and Highway 11. By 2004, after 40 years in the business, our parents retired to the sunny south. Today, you’ll still find Daniel at the Fisher location—clearing tables, serving customers, and between shifts, probably at the rink cheering on the boys or having a chat with the ref.
