The North Bay Battalion will open the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Championship Series against the Oshawa Generals on the road at 7:35 p.m. Friday, the Ontario Hockey League club announced Sunday.
North Bay, which finished second in the Central Division, meets Oshawa, which finished first in the East Division and conference, for the Bobby Orr Trophy for a second consecutive season.
The Battalion defeated the Generals in four games last year in the clubs’ first playoff meeting.
