The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Canadore College, and our numerous event sponsors provided another full week of events again this year.

The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce has undergone a number of positive changes and restructuring this year. The board approved our priorities under four pillars: Advocacy, Growth, Connections and Value. Along with this, the new board for 2016 will go to 13 directors (from the current 25) with the voting occurring during November with the results released at the end of November. The Chamber is also moving locations after almost 30 years at the corner of Seymour Street and the Hwy 11/17 bypass. The new location will open on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 205 Main Street East. Finally, with all this renewed focus, the Chamber will launch its new brand this evening at the Evening of Excellence. The new brand was created by TWG Communications and with the assistance of iCAMP – Canadore College, the awards this evening were custom made this year with our new logo.

The Small Business Week committee would like to thank all the sponsors of the Small Business Week events, as their support ensures a successful week of events. Sponsors included: Canadore College, Bell, The Business Centre Nipissing-Parry Sound, One Stop Solutions Online Media & Marketing, BDC, x-height Graphics Inc., North Bay Hydro, Hampton Inn, The Labour Market Group, Best Western, Stantec, RBC, Yes Employment Services, Blue Sky Personal Support Workers, North Bay & District Multicultural Centre, Caisse Populaire, WipWare, City of North Bay, Clarion Resort Pinewood Park Inn, Union Gas, CIBC, Cogeco North Bay News and Kiss 100.5.
