Dr. Hailey Bertrand, Parkside Animal Hospital
Being able to provide veterinary medicine was always a lifelong goal for Dr. Hailey Bertrand, veterinarian and owner of Parkside Animal Hospital. It all started with her childhood cat, Linus, who sparked her interest in pursuing a career as a veterinarian. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2008, Dr. Bertrand later moved back to North Bay, where she started Parkside Animal Hospital in 2014.
The full-service practice is located in the iconic “King Cone” building on Lakeshore Drive. The first and foremost goal of the clinic’s team of six is to ensure that every patient and client receives the highest quality of care and attention; from communication to equipment, from education to empathy and from constant diligence to a positive and caring environment.
Services include annual exams, radiology, in hospital care, end of life care, diagnostics, dental care and x-ray, dermatology, laparoscopic surgery and spaying/neutering.
Dr. Bertrand finds interacting with the people and pets who visit the practice to be the best part of her job. When not working, she can be found at the barn with her horse, Ellie, or with her two whippets Eddie and Izzy.
